Traveling West All Aboard!

Woke to a fiery orange sun rising over the empty flat land of North Dakota.  Just awesome!

Just loving the train!  Getting coffee in the snack car is a step back in time...friendly service , no automation, and hospitality that we don't see much anymore! Also love the party car- walls of glass for sight seeing, folks playing cards and games at tables, and people making new friends. It's crowded, loud, comfortable, and a bit crazy!  Today they had park rangers on-board with animal pelts and other local artifacts.

We followed along 150 miles of the Missouri River and saw Fort Union at the confluence of the Yellowstone and Missouri Rivers.  This is where Lewis and Clark built a fur trading post.

The day gets long.....no exercise.....and we keep gaining hours!!!

Such diverse folks riding the train.  Many are friendly and conversations help pass the time!

Anxious to start pedaling!!!  Missing everyone at home!  xo
